Ivy is in the "Under 4" league, which is basically an hour every Saturday where the teams gather and play games designed to get them used to kicking a ball and dribbling.  No real soccer is played, it is all just basic skill building.Duncan, however is the the "Under 8" league. Ivy and I just returned from dropping Duncan at his first day of first grade in our public school.  I'm not teary because by boy will be gone all day - we've been doing that for a long time. He had a sleep study done back in August, as we thought he'd been having trouble breathing while sleeping.  Turns out he would struggle to breathe up to 24 times in one hour - severe sleep apnea. He is so, so, so proud of it - had to show each and every one of his teachers when he first wore it to school, and really enjoys putting his papers (drawings) in it at the end of the day when we pick him up. Duncan has not nursed since Monday morning.  Bittersweet, but mostly sweet.  He is becoming such an independant boy - trying to do many things "all by my myself" and not needing cuddles and hugs as much.  Also wiping kisses off his cheeks!
